The world outside …
I thought the flight was empty, but lots of students leaving for europe as well. Qatar airport was busy. No one in a Hazmat suit…just saying, Vietnam. Checked into a lounge to take a shower and refill my coffee level. The world seems OK now.
Arriving at the airport
After almost 20h, I made it to Hanoi. The airport was empty. Only 5 flights going out a day. Now another 16h waiting until my flight at 2:00AM. Home made bolognese and chocolate got me through the night.
A long journey ahead…
Traveling during these times is a pain in the butt. Nothing is straight forward. I had to take a car from Da Nang to Hanoi because domestic flights were all cancelled. An ambulance got me out of the city where another car waited. We drive through the night and arrived in Hanoi Airport 19h later.
Farewell lunch with Moon Family…
I knew this day was coming, but I didn’t know it was so soon. I’m grateful for the apartment where I stayed because I was surrounded by wonderful people. We had a wonderful last lunch together and they made me my favorite meal: My Quang.
Banh Xeo – Famous Dish in Central Vietnam
Can’t be thankful enough to be stuck at Moon hotel in Danang. Still being stuck in extreme lockdown, but we still manage to create some nice dishes and not just eat instant noodles. Banh Xeo, the vietnamese pancake, is one of the most popular dishes in the central and southern region.
